This process takes time and consistency. It can take anywhere from 18 to 254 days for a person to form a new habit and an average of 66 days for a new behaviour to become autonomous.
This is where it begins to become part of your lifestyle. The reason a lot of people seem to give up on their desired outcomes is because they expect it to happen instantly.
We are now surrounded by a world of instant gratification where our reward hormones are released almost on demand however, not necessarily through the most desirable outcomes. Ie, I can seek that sensation through switching on the TV, scrolling the internet and other essentially, time wasting activities. Or I could spend an hour on the weekend preparing my meals for the week, which might initially seems like a chore, however, once done, feels great, helps me achieve my goals and keeps me on track throughout my busy week.
These tasks that future you will be grateful for are the ones we need to work on. Small, achievable steps that we embed into your routine to help you achieve your goals.
Throughout this online programme, we will communicate weekly via zoom calls. Within these calls, I will support you in assessing your current situation, discuss the goals which your desire to achieve, and help you lay out an action plan in order to reach them.
Accountability is one of the core purposes of the weekly call, we will assess how you have been doing. What is going well and what is not. From here we can adapt as required and put into place some further steps in order to help you make further progress.
